Minister Humphries Turns sod for Portlaoise Library

The Minister of Social Protection, Community & Rural Development and the Islands, Heather Humphries TD, turned the sod for the new Portlaoise Library on the 5th August 2020.
The Library is located on the prominent site of the former Shaws Department Store in The Square, Portlaoise.
The €4m Library will consist of 1,543m² building on 3 levels and will provide a significant landmark building in the historic town centre.
